Welcome to Pumpkins Mousery
The mousery's name comes from the first unexpected litter we had from one of our first females, Pumpkin, who was an excellent mum to her litter of six. She and her litter did absolutely fine and she is now retired from motherhood as we are not sure how many litters she had prior to being with us. Her pups however are ready to be sold to good homes, see our "For Sale" pages for more information.
We are based on the Isle of Wight and are here to provide advice for new owners, and good homes for unwanted mice. Even though we are a small mousery and we are expanding, hopefully into our large garden shed.
Currently I am concentrating on breeding Astrex, Siamese, Dutch and occasionally pet mice types.
So far we have bred a number of litters, and have a growing number of mice donated by families that were unable to keep them, but we still hope for more! All our mice will either stay with us as retired pets or go onto very good new homes to become show mice or pets for others who are able to look after them.
As we are proud members of the National Mouse Club we visited Swindon Mouse Show on the 23rd of April 2011, where we exchanged several of our mice to breeders from around the country. To see more information see our "Upcoming Events" page. We hope to be showing several of our mice in the future at the other National Mouse Club events.
